A question for you before I head out…
April 4, 2008I have an incredible urge to ask the following questions - I run on instinct so I am going to. They are not easy questions, perhaps not easy to answer. I don’t want you to answer out loud, just to think about them… if you want to share you are welcome to, but it is not necessary.
The first question is this: How many people do you know who have been raped, murdered, hi-jacked, robbed or mobbed?
The second question is this: How sick is this world?
My third and final question is this: How can we fix it, if not fix it, how can we help make it a safer if not a better world?

I know lots of people who have been robbed and at least 10 people that I know personally have been killed. I have many friends who have been raped; These things happen all over the world, not just in SA.
There are those who feel they have the right to have whatever they want no matter the consequences and whom it affects.
This has been happening since almost the beginning of time; there are countless instances of murder, rape, incest, and theft in the Bible. You have to do what you can to help anyone who is on the road to such behavior - show love, concern and care to the children before they grow up bitter, selfish, and hateful. You have to reach the children while they are young. Abused children oftentimes become abusive adults; children who feel no love, often have no empathy or compassion. Those of us who were lucky to overcome and see that there is a different world and everyone are not out to harm us should remain cognizant and pass blessings on to others. Also we need to report those who rape, murder, rob or abuse; although we may have fear of retalliation. We need to elect officials who will not tolerate such actions in society.
Peace, Light and Love,
CordieB
CordieB I can not agree more - I know that these things happen all over the world, in some places more than others (perhaps because of your last statement, they have more of a no tolerance policy). That was the point of these questions, to make people realise just how big of a problem all of this is in the world itself. When one stops to think just how many people they know that have been effected its a wake up call in a way. When I sat and thought about it long and hard I got that wake up call, my number is close to 50. Just don’t know how to go about “helping” hence the last question. All a bit of a muddle really…
