Do you believe in miracles?

Imagine a world without wonder, without imagination and without dreams, what would it be like? So often we get caught up in life that we lose the ability to smile at the little things or the beautiful ideas and analogies that are all around us. We start questioning everything, trying to break it apart with negativity or just unwillingness to see through the mist.

Questioning things though is not wrong, it encourages us to think further, to expand our views but when does it become more than that, when does it stop us from seeing the beauty in life? So often I come across people who when they hear an idea or an analogy they immediately start ripping it to shreds not stopping to breath in the true essence of what is being said or has been said.

Do we really question everything or do we just question others beliefs, others views, hopes and dreams? Is it that we believe wholeheartedly that there is a God but don’t question if it is true while in the same breath question something that could have only come from him…

Today is one of the most beautiful days, it defies the weather man and the cycles that we know as Autumn… Sunday it snowed in the neighbouring province, the temperature was a mere 12C which is quite plainly cold for South Africa only for it to be 30C+ today just a mere 4 days later. To me it is a miracle and I choose to have wonder and see the beauty in the symbology of what it means to me, how would you see it? Would you choose rather to rip it apart and say that it is just ridiculous that such a day should happen when it is meant to be Autumn?

The symboligy in today for me is one of the most beautiful wonders so much like life. I have packed all my summer clothes away expecting winter, thinking that winter is here and that is that. I was proven wrong yet again, summer days do come through just when we least expect it. In life so often we experience the winter of heartbreak or sadness, it feels as though thats that, no more summer days of happiness for us, we pack it in and just give over to the winter that we know is there, we lose hope. When a summer day does come along we are so unprepared that we can’t handle it, we are shocked that it happened and we don’t enjoy it as much as we could have if we had just taken one day at a time, cherishing them.

If we only see the bad in things, if we never open up our hearts to the wonders or the summer days how will we ever experience true happiness?
