Tonight the moon was really friendly, we chatted for a bit and then after much discussion and begging he agreed to pose for me…
The Spirit of the Moon witnesses the wars, hugs the stars, loves unconditionally and shines through the night basking in the day…
The Spirit of the Moon lies within each and every one of us…

… perhaps it is just an alien *shrug* who knows

Tonight the moon and I had a glass of red wine, the first for me in a long time. We sat chatting about life, the universe and which star was doing what. The fairies and the hair monkeys, the visa’s and the wine. The wine was very special, see it is a South African brand and yet the bottle stated that it had been imported by a Californian company. Guess it
comes from having too many wine farmers in the family, that and friends (can never know too many wine farmers!).
After a while the moon said I should try something new, play a bit, free my mind and explore once more. I went and grabbed my camera and started snapping while sipping.
<– There is my A… they’re always dancing, perhaps you can spot the original moon, he was so cute, way cuter than a chimp I can tell you!
Writing with moon ink is is much like trying to write with a really soft paintbrush dipped in really diluted oils, messy. So I started practicing and finally graduated from the A’s tonight. Alas, as always, I got bored and so started creating shapes and drawing pretty pictures in the sky.
I am by no means an expert moon ink painter but I think I’ve found the perfect medium for me to play with. Something new, something fresh, something only the mind can really see, perfect for me.
Getting my eye in vs standing still while the gale force wind blew along with moving the camera to a certain pattern proved challenging to say the least but I think I started to get the hang of it.
The first was meant to be a dancer only this one ended up capturing a star - perhaps this is all in my mind, perhaps it is not…

I love abstracts so thought I’d throw a curve ball into the mix… in the photo below there are so many images that flood my mind, symbols, shapes, all sorts… what do you get? If at first you get nothing flip it around in your mind, personally I think the moon was playing tricks on me!

The moon and I have now set a date for tomorrow night as well, I can’t wait to spend some time with him again, he calms my soul and sparks the light within me.

A simple graphic but with many symbolic representations. When I start out creating these images there is no plan, there is no idea in mind, they happen in a clear mind. This one is entitled Becoming, why? It is the transcension from the pre-awakened form to the new improved version.
The symbols are everywhere, for me it was much like spot the difference, perhaps it is the same for you.

The difference in the “old me” versus the “genuine meant to be me product” as I see them:
If you look at both their faces, you will see that they are vastly different. The one towards the back seems dissatisfied with life, the one in the fore bows his head in acceptance of being who he is, who he really is.
The neck line on the one in the back has no particular shape, the one in the front is in the form of a heart filled with white light.
The one in the back has no wings, he is disconnected from the other realms of being, the one in the front is spiritually connected.
The one is darker and seems shrouded, in the background, leading me to think that he is shrouded by society, fake outside projected to the world, his true self is in hiding from the world. The one in the fore is illuminated, he is more certain of himself and his place in the world through accepting who he is and his life’s purpose.
They both have the same shirt on but the one in the back carries labels, the one in the fore they are blanked out, he is more raw and stands as himself not as the world sees him.
The circles of light are the many hurdles and challenges that the one in the back, the old him, had to take in order to get to where he is now, evolved into to the person in the front. They are different colours and sizes symbolizing the variance of difficulty and risk.
That is my interpretation, what do you see?

Painting, photography, doing anything creative fills me with peace… Some people play musical instruments, others go for long walks, sit on benches in the quiet of day, I do all but this is still the quickest way to still my busy mind. When I get stressed out such as today I find myself grabbing an old image and quite literally zoning out and playing, stilling my mind… some of the images are just purely what I would call wacko but here is a mild one from today
…and another from the other day
