Reality of you

I wrote this towards the end of last year, it is for all of you, each and everyone, for the world

Morning dew
Following a stormy night
Fresh smell of new
That is what you are

Sunshine peaking through a cloudy sky
Rays of light breaking a shadow
Shapes forming on a blank surface
That is what you are

A flower in bloom
Petals slowly opening
Absorbing in the warmth of sunlight
That is what you are

Turning dark to light
Putting a smile on the face
Touching hearts as you go
That is what you are

true reality of life
current affairs disillusioning past
what was once taught ingrained
destroying trust within the truth

past themes dictate our reality
our self belief our only truth
all that we know
our teachings our compass

for it is not the teachings of the soul
rather those that are entrusted with our lives that dictate
our souls shine through
clouds of others shadow its rays

alone in this world I was destined to be
forever in the shadow of darkness no more
solitary blindness bringing clear sight
the rage burns deep within my soul

Destiny has dealt me heavy blows
It has brought me to my knees many times
Destiny has given me my chance
All of which l have blown

This life has given me my due share of heart aches
It has beaten me into submission of a destiny of untold sorrow

One hand that fate has dealt
Brings gratefulness to my heart
That is the sunshine our friendship brings to me
