Rise Up…

A song that not many have perhaps heard just yet by Sheryl Crow off her new album Detours (ltd edition of course why who knows).  This song has gotten me through some turbulent days recently, I sit and close my eyes and allow her voice, the music and the meaning to flow through my body and feel at peace.  For me it is beautiful, perhaps you will feel the same way.

You Gotta Be…

Music is my world, as you read you will see that I gather a lot from the words written by others… sometimes they say it best and capture the essence in a way I could never do.

Ultimately this song is a song of hope, even in dark times we can rise, even when the clouds have covered the sky in its entirety and there looks to be no chance of sunlight pushing through… wait, hold on, look to it and you will see that the clouds do pass, the sunlight does shine again… you can not give up on life before it has even started, you can not give up your dreams before you have had a chance to realise them… don’t give up, try another day for you never know what the new day may bring…
