I have a dream

Untitled2 copy-650

I dream of different things, I don’t dream of where I want to go, I trust where I am going.  I trust that fate will be kind and if not it will be for lessons.  I have faith that I am on the right path and that if I falter I’ll be pushed back on to the one I’m meant to be on.

I dream that by living my life, by being the best I can be, I will be able to save at least one life from hunger, one life from homelessness, one life from sadness… that is what I dream for.

I dream…

I have a dream, a song to sing
To help me cope with anything
If you see the wonder of a fairy tale
You can take the future even if you fail
I believe in angels
Something good in everything I see
I believe in angels
When I know the time is right for me
Ill cross the stream – I have a dream

I have a dream, a fantasy
To help me through reality
And my destination makes it worth the while
Pushing through the darkness still another mile
I believe in angels
Something good in everything I see
I believe in angels
When I know the time is right for me
Ill cross the stream – I have a dream
Ill cross the stream – I have a dream

I have a dream, a song to sing
To help me cope with anything
If you see the wonder of a fairy tale
You can take the future even if you fail
I believe in angels
Something good in everything I see
I believe in angels
When I know the time is right for me
Ill cross the stream – I have a dream
Ill cross the stream – I have a dream

Naming your blog

Well I always find suggestions interesting but the new “WordPress” adverts just tickle me royally pink!  Have you noticed in that little “advert” bar all the suggested blog domain addresses?  Just classic…

WordPress tip: Be the master of your own domain – make this blog “bleep.com” for just $15 per year.

First up, if you want to register your blog domain go to Google (thanks AngryAfrican)… $15 per year is a rip off they can give it to you for $10 and it comes with whole bunch of cool goodies (cool to me because they are new toys)

The story of Sanityfound and how it came to be

imageOnce upon a time in a far far distant land I encountered the monster of  sanity.  Now she was a fierce and strange creature with long green talons and the purplest of hairballs.

Many warm summer nights she would sit under the star lit sky sipping fermented grape juice while singing merely to herself “Twinkle twinkle little star”.  On the clearest night of all she encountered the king of the dark night and boy was he a mysterious creature. The Man in the Moon charmed her little polka dot socks off (we maintain it was the grape juice though this she denies) and they talked for hours on end about the most random of things. Shoes called crocodiles, Clothes called fuel, you name it, it was discussed.

One thing led to another with a few too many grape juices later a little surprise was born.  They named this new bundle  “mysanityencountered.com” in remembrance of their first encounter.  Needless to say this little bundle of joy was a surprise to them both, who would’ve thought a few glasses under the night sky would create such a wonder.

Now the Monster called Sanity, who was in reality a Princess of the day, had a deep dark secret, a secret not many knew.  To everyone she was the monster who could talk for hours to the strangest of people, those she knew and then those that were new, always with a smile and a ready laugh, a wicked sense of humour and a sassy dance. To all and sundry she was the definition of extroversion but not to the moon.  The Masks of sanity were shrouded by illusion.

Time moved forward and discussions grew deep, the longing for another took hold of her and the craving made her weep.  The moon wingled and wangled, soon it was clear that another was to keep, the walls fell down and the masks fell away, the secret was out for all to see. “mycoherencefound.com” was born with a bleep.

As Coherence grew and Encounter learnt to count “yoursobrietyfound.com” was born with pure heart.  Turning grape juice to water and peat to meat sobriety was the stead who all would need.  The moon was once more overjoyed and said to all who would hear that “easysanityfound.com” was their new baby born (just between you and me he was not the definition of sobriety and hence got confused with who was who in the zoo).

It was not before or after long that the Man in the Moon discovered his error and took the corrective measure. He sat and pondered for many a night of what was to be and what he could see.  Sobriety was to Easy and his error made him dizzy.  “mysanitydiscovered.com” was the reality when no masks were worn by sanity.

Wonders and crunders the realisation made him dance with warm fuzzies in his tummy.  Waves and tides came in and out, he had finally found his “mysanitylocated.com”.  A new dawn, a new day, he had finally met his destiny. “yoursanitymet.com”, growth and fate were looking after him.

The monster that is Sanity, a princess by day, was now a princess by night in the hands of the Moon with love and friendship, life was a new.

.. and that dear folks is how “mysanityfound.com” almost came to be

Sanity is not mine, it will never be, it’s an illusion that is filled with wander and want. No. I’d much rather be insanity for there is an in and no out but alas the name was taken so SanityFound I will be for in reality there is no such thing as Sanity.

*I don’t think I should write when I am exhausted though this is filled with symbology, those who know me will understand… yip I shouldn’t write while sleeping lol

Language of Elephants

image

Yes, I have been called an elephant a number of times in my life and for that reason I shall never divulge my true weight. Why they never called me Hippo I am still trying to work out, perhaps it is because my tail is wider than there’s?

Never mind, the fascinating thing about Elephants is the fact that they communicate in more ways that we think. Not only do they communicate via “above surface” communication they also have the knowledge and skills to make long distance calls.

Ok so when you stop laughing, hear me out, they really do make long distance calls. Wait, it gets better… Scientists even say that Elephants can raise long-distance alarms, offer advice, advertise love yearnings, or just swap greetings. Nuts right? These beautiful creatures can even distinguish between the rumbles of friends and strangers. Whoa I know.

Elephants aren’t so bad after all huh… sound a bit like humans in a way I guess (if you don’t believe just google it ok).

These big creatures feel the beats, tones and rhythms underneath the surface of the earth and know what their distant relatives are doing, feeling, if they need help, what ever it is, they know it. With humans it can be much the same, family and friends can connect and share a bond so powerful that we might know when someone is ill, in need or just thinking of us.

The internet these days helps us with our elephant language, in the past we had to count more on it, on our intuition with regards to people. My mother told me a while ago that back “in the olden days” our family counted on intuition like a life line. My grandmother knew that my grandfather was ok when he was in enemy territory, knew when he was in danger and when he was coming home.

There have been many such instances in my family, too many to bore you with, perhaps your family has the same? With the internet, in some cases I guess, our elephant language has become stronger. More people are able to connect where as previously it was just the people we bump into in the street, through friends, pen pals with snail mail and family.

No longer do we have to wait months to get a 5 page scrawl on what we think of a person in power, our thoughts on religion, our views on the world, latest discoveries, the events in our lives, friendship or love. Gone are those days, now we pop an email off with photos of our day or sentiments.

Now we find ourselves on this big spider web with invisible lines, here you are reading this post at the same time someone else is. That other person could very well be on their way to your blog. From your blog they may venture to someone else and then on to yet another unbeknown to them that the blogger 5 doors down is also reading yours or better yet a good friend of yours. A spider web of human spirit, like a worm in the sky, we travel and connect.

Our elephant language is evolving, we are “hearing” more people and feeling them, our words evoke reactions building friendships and stronger less invisible webs. Step by step we are making the web stronger, turning invisible bridges into solid masses of mutual respect and understanding. Bright lights in the dark night sky.

These days we don’t need to rely on our intuition so much as we did before or do we? The elephant language is evolving but is it really?

Moon Spirit

Tonight the moon was really friendly, we chatted for a bit and then after much discussion and begging he agreed to pose for me…

The Spirit of the Moon witnesses the wars, hugs the stars, loves unconditionally and shines through the night basking in the day…

The Spirit of the Moon lies within each and every one of us…

Playing with the Moon

Tonight the moon and I had a glass of red wine, the first for me in a long time. We sat chatting about life, the universe and which star was doing what. The fairies and the hair monkeys, the visa’s and the wine. The wine was very special, see it is a South African brand and yet the bottle stated that it had been imported by a Californian company. Guess it MoonA-comes from having too many wine farmers in the family, that and friends (can never know too many wine farmers!).

After a while the moon said I should try something new, play a bit, free my mind and explore once more. I went and grabbed my camera and started snapping while sipping.

<– There is my A… they’re always dancing, perhaps you can spot the original moon, he was so cute, way cuter than a chimp I can tell you!

Writing with moon ink is is much like trying to write with a really soft paintbrush dipped in really diluted oils, messy. So I started practicing and finally graduated from the A’s tonight. Alas, as always, I got bored and so started creating shapes and drawing pretty pictures in the sky.

I am by no means an expert moon ink painter but I think I’ve found the perfect medium for me to play with. Something new, something fresh, something only the mind can really see, perfect for me.

Getting my eye in vs standing still while the gale force wind blew along with moving the camera to a certain pattern proved challenging to say the least but I think I started to get the hang of it.

The first was meant to be a dancer only this one ended up capturing a star – perhaps this is all in my mind, perhaps it is not…

I love abstracts so thought I’d throw a curve ball into the mix… in the photo below there are so many images that flood my mind, symbols, shapes, all sorts… what do you get? If at first you get nothing flip it around in your mind, personally I think the moon was playing tricks on me!

The moon and I have now set a date for tomorrow night as well, I can’t wait to spend some time with him again, he calms my soul and sparks the light within me.
